The first hundred days in a new job often fly by. But Martijn, a Data Platform Engineer at Bizure, didn't expect it to go quite this fast. "It's bizarre to realize that 100 days have already passed. It went by incredibly quickly."

What stands out most? How quickly he grew, how much he learned, and how natural it felt to be part of Bizure and TeamValue.

A flying start

The first week was primarily focused on introductions and absorbing a lot of new information. Martijn made the switch from a production environment to an IT organization, which took some adjusting at first. Thanks to the well-thought-out onboarding, however, that transition felt smooth and manageable. It ensured a soft landing and provided the peace of mind to quickly find his place within the team.

"It's bizarre to realize that 100 days have already passed. It went by incredibly quickly."

Working on real projects

Martijn was soon working on substantive tasks. His first assignment? Together with Corien, updating the TeamNow DataHub and bringing it up to the new standards. That project is now live and is already being used for graduation assignments. How cool is that!

This was followed by a client project for Humanitas, where Martijn is working on an API integration being converted from XML to JSON, including improvements to the DataHub. Projects with visible impact, both internally and externally.

Development is key

Personal development played an important role when Martijn applied to Bizure. In his first 100 days, he earned his SCM-I and DP-900 certifications and has started on the DP-700 certification. In addition, the TeamValue Academy has provided him with many new insights and deeper knowledge.

"I really appreciate how actively they think along with my development. It's great to see that there is not only room for this, but that it is also actively encouraged."

Memorable moments

One of the highlights for Martijn was completing the TeamNow project. “Especially because I surprised others with the progress I had made. That was a great compliment to receive.”

TeamN8 also stood out: a moment when TeamValue and Bizure explored the world of AI together and looked at how it can be applied in day-to-day work.

Even better than expected

Looking back, Martijn is clear: working at Bizure is even more fun than he had anticipated. According to him, this is mainly due to the genuine interest people have in one another. "It feels like more than just colleagues; people are invested in you as a person and in the projects you're working on." The role of Data Platform Engineer also turned out to be much more enjoyable and versatile than he thought.

Why Bizure?

Would Martijn recommend working at Bizure to others? Without a doubt. “It feels like a warm welcome. If you want to develop yourself, this is the place to be. You’re not just an employee number, but a real part of the team.”

Finally, one last fact to complete these first 100 days: so far, Martijn has cycled to the office every single day. Hats off to him!
